Anyone who is willing to make a good faith effort to mediate their dispute can and should mediate. Even if the communication between the Parties is very difficult or non-existent, mediation may still be appropriate. We use Ground Rules and create a safe environment so our clients can work through difficult issues and reach agreements. Mediation is a voluntary process, however, and both Parties must be willing to try mediation. We offer a free 30 minute consultation with both Parties together to help our clients decide if they would like to try mediation.
We specialize in family law mediation. Divorce can be an extremely difficult time and people contemplating a divorce often feel overwhelmed and vulnerable. That is why we have created a structured process to help clients get through the entire divorce process, one step at a time. Our Attorney Mediators never use legal jargon or confusing terms. We know that our job is to help you get all of the information you need to make decisions that will work for you now, and in the future.
Divorce is a transition, not a battleground
Mediation is about empowering people to find solutions that reflect their own needs and goals. A trained mediator can help you approach conflict with an open mind, helping you move on to find peace and resolution. Mediation allows you to put your best foot forward and make room for the silver linings of change. While most court resolved cases focus on the past, meditation looks to the future and aims to facilitate lasting agreements between parties. Mediation is about creating solutions that are tailored to your unique family. One benefit of mediation is improved communication – which is especially important when children are involved. Mediation is also less costly and time consuming than going to court.
If you have children, mediation is a process that serves the best interests of your children. In our private, confidential mediation process, both parents work together to resolve any issues related to their children. We have a comprehensive Parenting Plan that we give to clients to help them make important decisions about how they will co-parent their children. Making decisions today will help you avoid conflict in the future.
